Auckland 13-14 Sept 2008
Ouai, la dernière fois on n'a pas réussi à acheté la voiture à cause d’un manque du cash. Mais on a apprécié le weekend là bas grâce à la rencontre avec mes amis (ex collègues du lycée)... Piero et moi, nous nous sommes baladés dans tout le centre ville d'Auckland dans la matinée, ensuite on est parti à Mission Bay ; une belle plage située à 7 km à l'est d'Auckland... De là on voit la silhouette d'Auckland avec les belles iles, les petits volcans (mort et actifs) et les falaises. Ensuite nous sommes partis sur le Mont Eden (Maungawhau), là haut se trouve un petit cratère, l'artefact d'un volcan mort il y a 60000ans. C'est impressionnant avec des vaches partout. C’était la dernière visite de notre weekend avant de nous retrouver de nouveau dans une auberge de jeunesse.
Le lendemain, eh ben, galère avec l'achat de voiture. Mais bon dans une heure on verra si on va réussir à rassembler la bonne somme d'argent...

Going back to Auckland to finally buy our car (thanks to ours f**kin MasterCard).We left the house last Saturday early in the morning; we were late as usual and we checked the wrong bus time table. So, we had to walk until the transport center (20mn of nice walk in the morning coldness …kidding) and we got into the bus at the last moment. After a 2 hours nap, we visited the city. For the lunch we met Alan’s friends (thanks to them by the way) and we both ate a big pizza in an Italian restaurant. We left the table satisfied and Alan’s friends brought us to Mission Bay, a beautiful beach near to Auckland’s downtown (Auckland is a big town). From there we went to the top of the Mount Eden, an old volcano which is inactif today. From above we saw the beautiful view of Auckland and some cows that were ruminating the crater’s grass.
Finally we slept in a big backpacker's hostel with a pool table and comfortable sofas!
The following morning we went to the Backpacker's Car Market. Our choice was a Mitsubishi Chariot of 1996 with a 2L petrol engine for the modest sum of 3400 $ NZ. Anyway we didn't manage to withdraw all the money, and came back in Hamilton by bus!!!
